Ariya Jutanugarn +700
Jutanugarn is coming off another top-five finish at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout and there is no doubt she will be a threat to win again this week. The world No. 6 won this tournament back in 2016 and she has been on fire of late with four top-10 finishes in his last five starts. Jutanugarn hasn’t won yet this season but she has come extremely close on a number of occasions including a runner-up result at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup and a third place finish at the LOTTE Championship. Jutanugarn checks all of the boxes as a legitimate sports betting favorite to win this week so she should be a popular pick.
Lexi Thompson +800
Thompson is coming off a disappointing result in her last LPGA start in Texas. However, she has played extremely well at this site including a year ago when she won this tournament with a record score. Thompson has finished in the top-10 in each of her last four starts at the Kingsmill Championship and there is no reason to expect that run to end this year. Following a slow start to the season, it will be interesting to see if this is the week that defending tournament champion breaks through with a victory.
Moriya Jutanugarn +1000
Jutanugarn is another interesting pick that has shown this year that she has the potential to contend for the outright win every single week. Jutanugarn is coming off her worst outing since March in last week’s American LPGA Texas Classic but that should only serve as motivation for her to bounce back this week. Less than a month removed from her victory at the HUGEL-JTBC LA Open, Jutanugarn is another legitimate contender heading in to the Kingsmill Championship this week.
Jessica Korda +1100
Korda has made only six starts this year after undergoing surgery on her jaw. However, she already has four top-10 finishes to climb to No. 8 in the world rankings, which is the highest she has ever been on that list. Korda has been a strong starter all year and it will be very interesting to see if that trend continues this week. At +1100 odds, Korda should garner some attention as a popular betting pick this week.
In Gee Chun +1200
Chun’s final score of 15-under would have been enough for her to win this tournament in each of the four previous years. However, Thompson absolutely dominated to finish at 20-under, five strokes clear of Chun. Now the Korean-native is looking to pick up from where she left off as she looks to continue her run of top-20 finishes after recording six straight to open the season including two top-10 results. Chun has proven that she can contend for the win here so she should be an intriguing betting option at +1200 odds.
Brooke Henderson +2000
Henderson has been extremely up and down all season including three straight finishes outside of the top-25 since winning the LOTTE Championship back in April. What are the odds of her getting back on track this week? Henderson finished T-14th in this tournament a year ago. The last time she finished outside of the top-25 in three consecutive starts she followed that slide up with her last victory. Can she do it again this week? Henderson should be a strong value sports betting option to win at +2000 odds.
Michelle Wie +3300
Wie took last week off to rest and prepare for the trip to Williamsburg. Wie already has six top-25 finishes this season including a win at the HSBC Women’s World Championship but she is still available at excellent odds to win the Kingsmill Championship outright. At +3300 odds, Wie is worth considering as a sleeper pick to win this week.
Cristie Kerr +4500
The world No. 10 is a three-time winner at the Kingsmill Championship. While her last win here came in 2013, Kerr has had more success in Williamsburg than any other venue so perhaps this is the week that she delivers. Her course resume and overall talent certainly can’t be overlooked even if she has only one top-10 finish so far this season. At +4500 odds, Kerr is an intriguing sleeper option to win the Kingsmill Championship this week.
