Binghamton Bearcats – UMBC Retrievers Preview – 02.24.2016

The UMBC Retrievers (6-23) will close out the regular season on their home court when they face off against the Binghamton Bearcats (7-20) at Retriever Activities Center. The game starts at 7:00 pm ET on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

The Retrievers lost big to Vermont 99-54 on Saturday. Jairus Lyles was the team’s high scorer, contributing 19 points. The Bearcats are coming off an 81-77 win over Massachusetts-Lowell on Saturday. Marlon Beck led the team in scoring with 14 points on 3-for-11 shooting.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Bearcats won the first game 66-57. Willie Rodriguez was a top performer in the victory with 24 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one three-pointer.

In its last game, UMBC lost by a margin of 45 points. Binghamton is 1-4 in games decided by a margin of 18 points or more. UMBC has a 0-8 record in blowouts.
