The St. Louis Blues advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals on Saturday with a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets. The Blues held the Jets to just 20 shots on goal in the decisive game of the series, and Jordan Binnington has played well in his postseason debut. We now have half the conference semifinal teams, and we will figure out the remaining four teams in the next few days.

St. Louis seems to be enjoying its time off after eliminating Winnipeg from the playoffs. The Blues are awaiting the winner of Nashville and Dallas, and they are hoping that the Stars can close out the series so they earn home ice in the next round. Jaden Schwartz was the hero on Saturday night with a hat trick in the 3-2 win.

Dallas is looking to close out its series with Nashville on Monday night. The higher seed has already won two playoff series in the Western Conference, and the Stars are looking to eliminate the other division winner out West. Nashville’s abysmal power play continues to haunt it, as the Predators are 0-11 with a man advantage in this series.

The Washington Capitals are probably the favorites to win the Stanley Cup after their 6-0 thrashing of Carolina on Saturday. Washington needed some time to put Carolina away, but the Caps kept the pressure on until the Hurricanes broke.

Speaking of the Capitals, the team finally made an official announcement regarding T.J. Oshie. Oshie is expected to miss the rest of the postseason after breaking his clavicle in Game 4 of the series, but his presence has been felt with the fans chanting his name throughout Game 5.

The three Vezina Trophy finalists were announced on Saturday, and two of the three goaltenders up for the award are still in the postseason. Ben Bishop and Robin Lehner have led Dallas and the Islanders throughout the year, while Andrei Vasilevskiy was the goaltender behind the best regular season team this season. If Vasilevskiy were to win the award, that would certainly be a bittersweet moment.
