The Boston Bruins have taken care of business at home in the Eastern Conference Finals. Boston put itself in a great position to advance with a 6-2 thrashing of Carolina yesterday that wasn’t as close as the score line suggested. The Bruins are just two wins away from the Stanley Cup Finals, and they are out to win their second title this decade.

Boston is all smiles after outscoring Carolina, 11-4, through the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Hurricanes have had their chances, but Tuukka Rask has held strong in net (barring the mistake late in Game 2), while his counterpart, Petr Mrazek, has given up a couple soft goals this series.

This series is sure to get spicy in Game 3. Brad Marchand is at it again, and Justin Williams is the latest to let the diminutive winger get under his skin. Williams had some interesting words to describe what happened in this play, so it will be interesting to see how he plays in Raleigh.

Dylan Larkin scored the game-winner for Team USA against Team Finland earlier today. The victory was huge for Team USA’s hopes following a disappointing loss to Team Slovakia in their opener. Their next game will be against Great Britain on Wednesday.

Jordan Binnington has come up big for St. Louis since taking over in the second half of the season. Binnington has continued to be in good form in the postseason, and he will look to bounce back after a loss in Game 1. San Jose scored six in the opener, but its hard to fault Binnington since the Blues turned the puck over so much.
.@jprutherford asked NHL sources to address what's potentially wrong with Blues star Vladimir Tarasenko: https://t.co/09yorkWYDl

There are a number of theories surrounding the struggles of Vladimir Tarasenko. Tarasenko is St. Louis’ most dynamic player on offense, but he was a relative non-factor in Game 1. If the Blues are going to win this series, we need to see more out of Tarasenko.
