Boxing Odds: Diego De La Hoya Looks To Remain Undefeated Against Jesus Ruiz

This Friday night Oscar De La Hoya and his Golden Boy Promotions renew their Fight Club series at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles with a card set to air on Estrella TV.  The card is also notable because it is headlined by Oscar’s undefeated 21-year-old cousin Diego De La Hoya as he faces off against veteran Jesus Ruiz (34-6-5). The live event features six fights in all.

On Saturday night in the United Kingdom, promoter Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing are at the First Direct Arena in Leeds with a card set to air on SKY TV.  The main event sees undefeated Josh Warrington (21-0) taking on Joel Brunker (28-1) with a couple of regional belts on the line.  The card features Super Middleweight Martin Murray (31-2-1)  in the co-main event as he takes on Jose Miguel Torres (31-6).  Also on the card is popular cruiserweight Tony Bellew and undefeated Super Flyweight prospect Khalid Yafai, so look back closer to fight time to see if additional odds have popped up for this 12-fight card.

Also on Saturday, 43-year-old heavyweight Shannon Briggs (58-6-1) goes for his eighth win in a row as he faces Michael Marrone (21-4) in a 12-round bout.  Briggs has spent the last year steadily and at times comically pursuing a match with Vlladimir Klitschko, but aside from the clips oin the news, Briggs has also won seven fights in a row since his April of 2014 return from a three year layoff.
