Fri 2/26 – Super Middleweight 12 rounds – The Melbourne Pavillion – Victoria, Australia
Rogerio Damasco +2200
Zac Dunn -5500
Note: Australia’s undefeated (19-0) Super Middleweight prospect Zac Dunn will be trying to add the vacant WBC International Silver title to his resume when he faces veteran Rogerio Damasco (22-3-2) of Brazil. Damasco’s 22 wins are all in his native Brazil, while his three losses all come when he has traveled to fight. To his credit, he has a 2014 appearance in New Zealand so the travel is familair to him, and he is coming off an extremely busy 2015 that saw him go 7-1.
Fri 2/26 – Welterweight 12 rounds – Kibler Park Recreation Centre – Johannesburg, South Africa
Ntuthuko Memela +400
Phillip Ndou -550
Note: Ndou (37-4) is the veteran who is returning to his home grounds to try and capture a vacant IBF Continental Africa title. Ndou is 38 years old and he has been fighting for nearly 20 years on the professional level, but he has spent the last twelve years in semi-retirement. He won a fight this past August, his first time competing in over two years. Memela is a local fighter who has not fought anywhere near the level of Ndou, who has a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr on his resume from back in 2003.
Fri 2/26 – Super Middleweight – Ceres Arena – Aarhus, Denmark
Jorge Silva +520
Lolenga Mock -850
Note: Danish veteran Lolenga Mock (32-14-1) returned last December with a victory after a two year layoff, and this is the second fight of his “comeback” at 43 years of age. Silva, from Portugal, is 11 years younger than Mock, but he has nowhere near the experience or competition level on his resume to match what Mock brings tot he table.
Sat 2/27 – York Hall – London, United Kingdom
Welterweight 10 rounds –
Tommy Tear +425
Tamuka Mucha -610
Note: You have to love the way the British boxing community does things. Yourk Hall hosts boxing almost every weekend, and this weekend there is a fight card planned with over 20 fights. The main event sees undefeated welterweights clash as BBBofC Southern Area titleholder Tamuka Mucha (11-0) takes on the challenge of Tommy Tear (11-0). Look for the winner to take the next step towards a British title.
