The Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham hosts a card with a main event at Welterweight between Sam Eggington (16-2) and Dale Evans (10-2-2). Evans currently holds the BBB of C British and Commonwealth titles, which are both on the line. The two men met in January of 2013 in a three-round bout as part of a “Prizefighter” tournament and that match saw Evans edge Eggintgon. Below are the lines for the main four fights on this 11-fight card, and all of the fights have seen an over/under line pop up late.
Welterweight 12 rounds:
Dale Evans +800 over 9½ +160
Sam Eggington -1250 under 9½ -210
Notes: Despite having beaten Eggington in the past, Evans comes in a wide underdog, as Eggington has risen up through the ranks and has advanced further in the eyes of most observers of the British scene. Evans has stepped in on short notice on the strength of his “Prizefighter” win over Eggington, but Eggington was originally slated to face Frankie Gavin in what would have been a much more high profile fight on the overall British scene.
Evans has gone 1-1 so far in 2015 and he will be looking to win his second fight in a row.

Super Welterweight 12 rounds:
Jason Welborn +550 over 8½ +160
Matthew Macklin -800 under 8½ -210
Notes: Macklin (33-6) has put together a two fight winning streak fighting tune-up fights of eight rounds. Prior to this fight he has been campaigning as a Middleweight, where he has faced some of the best fighters in the world, including the retired Sergio Martinez, Germany’s Felix Sturm and Gennady Golovkin. Wellborn brings a 17-3 record and experience fighting at the British title level, whereas Macklin has been on the world scene for years. The vacant WBC International title is on the line in this one.
Super Flyweight 12 rounds:
Jason Cunningham +1400 over 9½ +120
Khalid Yafai -2500 under 9½ -160
Notes: Khalid Yafai (16-0) is the more advanced of the pair of brothers that became amateur sensation on the UK elite teams. He is facing Cunningham (17-2) for the vacant BBBofC British Super Flyweight belt. Yafai is no 26 years old and has four years pro experience, and he stated that it is time to “start going for belts”. Cunningham has held a BBBofC Commonwealth belt in the past when he fought as a bantamweight. Both men are the same age, but Cuningham would seem to have a good bit of advantage in the height and reach department.
Super Bantamweight 10 rounds:
Nasibu Ramadhani +5000 over 6½ -120
Gamal Yafai -12500 under 6½ -120
Notes: Gamal is the younger of the two brothers at 24 years old, and he turned professional in May of 2014. Since then he has maintained a perfect 7-0 record. This bout is considered an eliminator for the Commonwealth Super Bantamweight title, so Gamal appears to be on the fast track for British belts. Ramadhani is from tanzania, and he will have a wide experience advantage, having a record of 18-7-1. Ramadhan has never won a fight outside of his native Tanzania.
