Boxing World Title Fight Odds – Boxing’s super flyweight division is front and center as we head into September as the month sees all of the major world titles at 115-lbs. in play.

August 31st sees WBA world champion Kohei Kono (32-8-1) put his belt on the line against Luis Concepcion (34-4). Concepcion is coming off a win against Hernan Marquez, who he lost two twice previously, and that gave him an interim piece of the belt. He faces Kono, who holds the “full” version in a title unification bout.

IBF super flyweight champion McJoe Arroyo (17-0) travels to the Philippines to take on 24-1-1 Jerwin Ancajas in his first title defense. For Arroyo, who represented his native Puerto Rico in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, this is his first pro fight so far away from home. Ancajas has put together a streak that has seen him stop his last nine opponents, and the lone loss on his record dates back to March of 2012, when he took a Majority Decision loss to the more experienced Mark Anthony Geraldo.

Sunday night, September 4th is when the WBO version of the 115 pound world title is on the line, as undefeated Japanese phenom Naoya Inoue (10-0) puts his belt on the line against the challenge of Thailand’s Karoon Jarupianlerd. Inoue is just 23-years-old and he has already captured world titles in two weight classes in his short professional career. Jarunpainlerd (38-7-1) is 31-years-old and he is on a 16-fight winning streak. Four of the losses of his career have come in trips to Japan for fights, and he is looking to avoid going 0-5 in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Inoue headlines a fight card at the SKY arena that also features his two brothers, 7-0 Takuma and 4-0 Koki. Takuma also competes in the super flyweight division, and he is facing 23-1-1 Froilan Saludar of the Philippines. Welterweight Koki takes on veteran Indonesian trial horse Heri Andriyanto (22-22-2).

Fast forward to September 10th and WBC world titleholder Carlos Cuadras greets Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez as the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world moves up in weight from Flyweight to face Cuadras, who is (35-0-1). The sports books have put Gonzalez as a more than -1000 favorite heading into that fight.
