Bucks News: Milwaukee Win Streak Continues As Greek Freak Scores 50

Right now, Giannis Antetokounmpo looks like one of the best versions of a player we have seen in decade.

Indeed, the man known as ‘The Greek Freak’ scored season-high 50 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for his 17th consecutive double-double. It was the second time Antetokounmpo has scored 50 points in a game in his career. Equally important, he did it all without a turnover.

The Bucks needed every point to secure a 122-118 victory over the Utah Jazz. Furthermore, it was Milwaukee’s eighth straight win; matching their longest win streak since the 2001-2002 season.

In case you missed the Antetokounmpo show, we have the highlights for you right here:

ESPN’s stats department reports that Antetokounmpo’s streak of double-doubles is the longest to begin a season since Bill Walton opened with 34 straight in 1976-77. Obviously, he and Luka Doncic are the talk of the NBA currently in terms of individual performance.

Still, one must wonder whether or not this is the scariest version of Antetokounmpo that we have seen thus far in his young career.

Finally, he came away amazed by himself. He emphasized the fact that he played clean basketball without a turnover in addition to all the points.

“I’m impressed, I’m not going to lie to you,” said Antetokounmpo, the reigning MVP. “Great game and all that. My second 50-point game of my career. Doing it with zero turnovers and all that, that’s great. I see that they made 21 3s, and as a team we were still able to be in the game and still win the game. At the end of the day, all that matters is a win.”

The Milwaukee Bucks are rolling and looking like they’re in mid-season form despite being a few days from Thanksgiving. If you get a chance to watch Antetokounmpo, make sure you don’t miss out.
