The No. 14 Buffalo Bulls (10-0) travel to Syracuse to take on the No. 25 Orange (7-3) in a matchup that pits great offense against stifling defense. The game starts at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, and will air on ESPN2.

Buffalo Bulls vs. Syracuse Orange ATS Prediction

In the Bulls’ last contest, they beat the Saint Francis U Red Flash, 82-67. The Bulls had a much better turnover percentage (12.2 vs. 21.6) and had a better effective field goal percentage (0.479 vs. 0.409). With 16 points on 8-for-12 shooting, Nick Perkins led Buffalo in scoring.

The Orange dismantled the Eastern Washington Eagles in their last outing, 66-34. The Orange had a much better free throw rate (0.242 vs. 0.034) and had a much better turnover percentage (11.9 vs. 23.3). Oshae Brissett was the top scorer from either team with 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field.

This showdown figures to be low-scoring as a pair of the nation’s best defenses clash. Syracuse currently ranks 49th in defensive efficiency (94.1) and Buffalo is 30th (92.5). Also, the Bulls rank 19th in turnover percentage (15.7 percent), while the Orange rank 31st in opponents’ turnover percentage (23.1 percent).

After the Orange won the only contest against the Bulls last season, 81-74, these teams will meet for the first time this year. Syracuse did a fantastic job of getting to and converting from the charity stripe (24-29; 82.8 percent). Buffalo, meanwhile, had a better turnover percentage (14.8 vs. 18.8).
