Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The California Golden Bears (5-16, 0-9 Pac-12) will attempt to put an end to their 10-game losing streak when they square off against the Oregon Ducks (13-9, 4-5 Pac-12) at Matthew Knight Arena. The game is scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

California Golden Bears at Oregon Ducks ATS Prediction

The Golden Bears are trying to rebound after their 84-81 loss to the Stanford Cardinal in their last outing. Getting to the free throw line was one of Stanford’s largest advantages. They had 30 free throw attempts, while California had 19. Justice Sueing led California in scoring with 23 points on 8-for-14 shooting.

In the Ducks’ last game, they lost big to the Colorado Buffaloes, 73-51. Colorado made good use of their 28 trips to the charity stripe, converting on 24 of them (85.7 percent). Oregon, meanwhile, was just 11-18 (61.1 percent). Oregon’s Louis King had a good game, leading the team in scoring with 12 points on 5-for-13 shooting.

After the Ducks won the lone contest against the Golden Bears last season, 66-53, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. Oregon had a much better free throw rate (0.421 vs. 0.150). California, on the other hand, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (41.3 vs. 19.0).

Half-court execution will be of utmost importance when two of the nation’s slowest-paced teams clash. Oregon ranks 306th in possessions per game (66.9) and California is 256th (67.9).
