The Carolina Hurricanes have taken a commanding lead in their series with the New York Islanders. Only four teams in NHL history have overcome a 3-0 deficit, so the Hurricanes are feeling good about their chances of advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals. In the other game on Wednesday, the Dallas Stars tied their series with the St. Louis Blues, in a series that looks destined to go seven.
