Kevin Love is the last Cav standing from Cleveland’s 2016 championship squad, the last remnant of LeBron’s second stint with the team. Kyrie Irving was shipped out before the 2017 season after demanding a trade, and James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers the following offseason.
As such, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski wrote that Cleveland is now prepared to listen to Trade offers for the five-time All-Star.

The NBA insider mentions December 15 as a date to keep an eye on; that’s when players who signed contracts in the offseason — 40% of the league according to Woj — will be eligible to be moved.
The Cavaliers are clearly in a rebuilding situation, looking to shape the roster around the young backcourt of Collin Sexton (20 years old) and Darius Garland (19 years old). A 31-year-old Love simply doesn’t fit the team’s big picture looking forward.
Cleveland is 5-16 as of Saturday morning and sitting in 13th place in the Eastern Conference, 1.5 games ahead of the last-place New York Knicks.
Love has played in 17 games this season, averaging 16.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.
It seems as though Love being moved would happen sooner rather than later, as many fans speculated if his days a Cavalier were numbered once LeBron left town.
