Central Connecticut State Blue Devils – Sacred Heart Pioneers Preview – 02.13.2016

It will be a battle between two of the nation’s top scoring defenses when the Sacred Heart Pioneers (8-16) challenge the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils (3-21). The game starts at 3:30 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The Pioneers were beaten by Mount St. Mary’s 66-61 on Thursday. Jordan Allen had a good game for Sacred Heart, contributing 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists. The Blue Devils, meanwhile, are coming off a 74-67 loss at the hands of St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday. Brandon Peel scored 23 points and recorded 13 rebounds earning his 11th double-double of the season.

Peel has been on a tear over the last five games for the Blue Devils, averaging 16.4 points, 14.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.6 steals, and 2.6 blocks.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Pioneers won the first game 80-78. Tevin Falzon put up 20 points and 14 rebounds.
