CFB Lines – Michigan Wolverines 2014 Schedule

CFB Lines:  Michigan Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke is facing a season in which he must deliver the goods or likely hit the road.  Hoke made quite a splash in his first season, albeit with a roster built by predecessor Rich Rodriguez, as he led the Wolverines to a win in the Sugar Bowl.  Since that time it has been all downhill as Hoke’s vision of taking Michigan back to playing power football has not been fulfilled and the soft line play has been a point of frustration for long time Michigan fans.  Michigan will open the 2014 season at home against Appalachian State on August 30.  It is ironic that the Wolverines will open the season against the very team that started their slide to mediocrity as Appalachian State scored a stunning upset win at the Big House in 2007 as a 1AA program at that time.

September

Michigan is at Notre Dame on September 6 before hosting three consecutive home games starting on September 13 vs. Miami of Ohio, followed by Utah on September 20, and then Minnesota on September 27.

October

Michigan is at Rutgers on October 4, will host Penn State on October 11, and is at Michigan State on October 25 after a bye week.  The game at Michigan State will be a great measuring stick as the Spartans threw the Wolverines around like helpless pitiful rag dolls in a 29-6 win last year that exposed Michigan for all of their flaws and lack of physicality.

November

Michigan will host Indiana on November 1, is at Northwestern on November 8, will host Maryland on November 22, and is at Ohio State on November 29.  Michigan nearly upset their rivals last year in 42-41 loss to the Buckeyes at the Big House.
