CFL Odds – Defending Champs Visit the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday Afternoon on ESPN 2

CFL Odds:  The defending Grey Cup champions, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, visit the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday afternoon.  The champs started the season with a big win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last week so they will be looking to go to 2-0.  They will be taking on a Toronto Argonauts team that is coming off a poor opener last week against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  Here is a look at the game that can be seen on ESPN 2 and CFL picks.

CFL Odds

Saskatchewan Roughriders (even) total 53.5.

Great Start for Anthony Allen

The Saskatchewan Roughriders were wondering how they would replace Kory Sheets but in Week 1 they got an immediate answer as Anthony Allen gained 158 yards.  Head coach Corey Chamblin said that Allen will start again in this game on Saturday.  “The offensive line did a great job of blocking,” said Allen, “Knowing that it was going to rain, we knew that we had to run the ball. The offensive line did a great job of parting the way for me.” A number of other newcomers made strong starts for the defending champions including Brett Swain who caught a TD from quarterback Darian Durant. Derek Walker had three defensive tackles and two sacks in his first game for the team.

Toronto Argonauts Looking to Avoid 0-2 Start

It was about as ugly as it could get last week for the Toronto Argonauts who were routed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The team played poorly in virtually every aspect as they simply were not ready to play. They should not have any problem with motivation this week going against the defending champs.

Game Notes

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Toronto. The Roughriders are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games in Week 2.  The Argonauts are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Over is 10-4 in the Argonauts last 14 home games. The Under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings in Toronto.

CFL Picks

I will go with the home team to win this game on Saturday afternoon.
