CFL Picks: Stampeders at Lions Tops List of Regular Season Finales

CFL Picks: The CFL regular season concludes this week with four games including Calgary at British Columbia on Friday night. There are playoff implications in all four games beginning with the two on Friday as Ottawa visits Toronto while Calgary is at BC. The two Saturday games have Montreal at Hamilton and Edmonton at Saskatchewan. Let’s look at all four games and CFL picks.

–Friday, November 7th–

Calgary Stampeders at BC Lions (Lions -1, total 45.5)

The Stamps have no reason to win this one as they have everything wrapped up and the Lions need some confidence heading into the playoffs. The Stamps are going to hold out running back Jon Cornish in this one and they may rest other players as well. The trends favor Calgary as they are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 road games while the Lions are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the West. The under could be a good play as the under is 11-3 in the Stampeders last 14 road games and the Under is 6-2-1 in the Lions last 9 home games. We’ll take BC to get the home win and also play the game under.

Ottawa Redblacks at Toronto Argonauts (No Line)

There was no line on this one as the Argos are likely going to be without starting quarterback Ricky Ray. They should still win this one anyway as the RedBlacks are a bad team looking at younger players for next year but you never know. Toronto has to win this one and then have Montreal beat Hamilton in order to make the playoffs.[divider]

–Saturday, November 8th–

Montreal Alouettes at Hamilton Tiger-Cats (Hamilton -3, total 45)

The Tiger-Cats can get into the playoffs with a win but they are facing a Montreal team that is rolling. The Alouettes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the Tiger-Cats are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games. The under could be the best play in this game as the under is 13-3 in the Alouettes last 16 road games while the under is 16-5 in the Tiger-Cats last 21 home games. We’ll go under the total in this game.

Edmonton Eskimos at Saskatchewan Roughriders (No Line)

There was no line on this one as the Eskimos are expected to hold out starting quarterback Mike Reilly. The Eskimos have nothing to play for as they are already locked into the West semifinals. The Eskimos are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 road games while the Roughriders are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games. The Eskimos are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Saskatchewan. We’ll pass on this one.
