CFL Picks: The CFL Playoffs begin on Sunday as the British Columbia Lions visit the Montreal Alouettes while the Saskatchewan Roughriders play at the Edmonton Eskimos. Both of these matchups look even and injuries could affect both contests. Let’s look at the games and CFL predictions.

British Columbia at Montreal (Alouettes -3, total 45)

Both of these teams come into the game at 9-9. The Lions are the cross over team from the West and they have not played well down the stretch, losing five of their last seven. The Lions are expected to go with Kevin Glenn as their starting quarterback but it is worth nothing they activated Travis Lulay for this contest.

The Alouettes had played well down the stretch until last week when they lost to Hamilton and blew the division and a first round bye. They still figure to have the edge at home in this game.

The Lions are 23-7 ATS in the last 30 meetings in this series. The Lions are 3-1-2 ATS in their last 6 playoff road games. The Alouettes are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games overall but they are just 1-4 ATS in their last five playoff home games. The Over is 4-0 in the Lions last 4 playoff road games. The Under is 17-5 in the Alouettes last 22 games overall. The Over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Montreal in this series.

Saskatchewan at Edmonton (No Line)

The Roughriders had been awful until last week when they broke their five-game losing streak. The team is night and day when Darian Durant plays. The team was 8-2 with Durant and just 2-6 without him. There is no line on this game as Durant is questionable. If Durant plays then Saskatchewan can win this game but it is hard to like their chances without him as they would be stuck with either Tino Sunseri or Kerry Joseph.

The Eskimos have been solid all year long but they just happen to play in the same division with Calgary. The Eskimos also have injury concerns as starting quarterback Mike Reilly is questionable. The team is not the same with backup Matt Nichols.

The Roughriders are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Edmonton. The Roughriders are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six playoff road games. The Eskimos are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 playoff games. The Under is 5-1 in the Roughriders last six playoff road games. The Over is 4-1 in the Eskimos last 5 playoff games. The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Edmonton.
