CFL Predictions: The first-place Calgary Stampeders visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 17 CFL action. The Stampeders have the league’s top record at 12-2 while the Blue Bombers are 6-9. This really should be a mismatch with the Stamps getting Bo Levi Mitchell back at quarterback and with running back Jon Cornish relatively healthy but the game is on the road so you never know. Let’s look at the Week 17 action in the CFL and CFL predictions.
–Friday, October 17th–
Ottawa RedBlacks at Hamilton Tiger-Cats (-12) total 45
This is actually a key game for Hamilton who despite their 6-8 record is in a three-way tie for first in the East. The RedBlacks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games but the Tiger-Cats are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games. We’ll look for Hamilton to find a way to win and lay the points.
–Saturday, October 18th–
Calgary Stampeders at Winnipeg Blue Bombers (+9) total 49.5
The Stampeders are getting Bo Levi Mitchell back and all he does is win. Cornish is finally somewhat healthy and Winnipeg simply isn’t playing well. The Stamps have the top defense and the second best offense. The Stampeders are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games. The Blue Bombers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Looking at the total, the Under is 11-2 in the Stampeders last 13 road games. The Under is 4-1 in the Blue Bombers last 5 home games. We’ll lay the points and also play this game under.
Montreal Alouettes at Toronto Argonauts (-4.5) total 51.5
One of these two teams will be tied for first place after this one is over. The Argos have the better quarterback in Ricky Ray and that should be the difference. We’ll lay the points.
–Sunday, October 10th–
Edmonton Eskimos at Saskatchewan Roughriders (+4) total 48
It is a mess for Saskatchewan at quarterback right now. Tino Sunseri has been awful but the team has few other options. The Eskimos are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games. The Roughriders are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games. The Eskimos are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings in Saskatchewan. We’ll lay the points in this one.
