Remember mere days ago when Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid sounded like Patrick Mahomes wouldn’t play Sunday? Now, it’s time to get excited. Reid said in his Friday press conference that barring something unforeseen, Mahomes will be under center on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans for the week 10 match-up.
Obviously, this should excite anyone who likes the game of football; fans and fantasy owners alike.

Furthermore, does anyone realize that Mahomes only missed TWO weeks with a dislocated knee-cap? Has that ever happened before? Literally, that’s one of the most amazing parts of this storyline.
#Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced at his press conference that QB Patrick Mahomes will start on Sunday vs. the #Titans, as expected. So he’ll miss just two games with a dislocated kneecap. Totally normal.

Finally, all of us should have seen this coming. First, Mahomes got positive news from an MRI that revealed he had a chance to return quicker than normal from a serious injury like this.
Then, the Chiefs third-year superstar quarterback was seen in practice moving pretty well. While things have come full circle, the Chiefs also have a decent back-up on the sidelines now in Matt Moore. Moore went 1-1 but ran the offense very effectively.
Still, he’s no Mahomes. And chances are come Sunday afternoon, Mahomes will do something that blows away the viewer. He’s just one of those rare breeds that comes along once every thirty years or so, like an eclipse.
