Auburn is coming off of a 34-3 win over Arkansas. The defense allowed the Razorbacks to rush for 149 yards on 38 attempts. Rakeem Boyd had a productive showing in the defeat, recording 66 rushing yards on eight attempts for Arkansas. For Auburn, Jarrett Stidham completed 15-of-22 passes for 134 yards. JaTarvious Whitlow (49 rushing yards on 13 attempts, two TDs) and the signal-caller Stidham (-5 yards on 10 carries, one TD) mounted the ground attack in the win while Ryan Davis (six receptions, 40 yards) and Anthony Schwartz (three catches, 59 yards) led the pass-catching corps.
Southern Miss has run the ball on 49.3 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Auburn has an overall rush percentage of 64.0 percent. The Golden Eagles have run for 133 yards per game and have two touchdowns via handoffs this year. The Tigers are logging 199 rushing yards per game and have 12 total rush TDs.
