Tra Barnett was outstanding, putting up 161 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 attempts for the Panthers. For Coastal Carolina, Fred Payton completed 12-of-17 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown. Payton (62 rushing yards on 17 attempts) and Torrance Marable (128 yards on 12 carries, one TD) handled the ground game in the win as Malcolm Williams (four receptions, 90 yards, one TD) and Ky’Jon Tyler (three catches, 30 yards) led the Coastal Carolina pass-catchers.
