Corey Taylor II (117 yards on 24 rush attempts, two TDs) and Shamari Brooks (23 yards on 11 carries) led the ground attack while Justin Hobbs (five receptions, 59 yards, one TD) and Keylon Stokes (four catches, 42 yards) handled the receiving duties in the defeat.
A week ago, UCF knocked off this Navy crew by a score of 35-24. As a group, the team collectively completed zero-of-two passes for 0 yards. Zach Abey went zero-for-two for zero yards while Travis Brannan was -of- for yards. Abey (85 rushing yards on 26 attempts, two TDs) and Malcolm Perry (69 yards on nine carries) mounted the running game while Travis Brannan ( receptions, yards) led the pass-catching corps in the loss.
Tulsa has run the ball on 65.2 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Navy has an overall rush percentage of 86.2 percent. The Golden Hurricane have produced 210 rush yards per game (including 224 per game versus American Athletic Conference opponents) and have 17 scores on the ground this year. The Midshipmen are logging 296 rush yards per game (288 in conference) and have 30 total rushing TDs.
