We are now in the thick of conference play and conference games highlight the schedule in Week 6 of the college football season. There are just 14 undefeated teams left in the country and three of those teams face real road tests this week.

Oklahoma Sooners -7.5
Texas Longhorns +7.5
The best noon game this week is also the College Gameday game. The Oklahoma Sooners were the favorite to win the Big 12 at the start of the season, and they have started the season 5-0. However, the Sooners have looked vulnerable in their five wins. They looked shaky on defense against Iowa State, and they needed overtime to beat Army.

Meanwhile, Texas is starting to come on strong. The Longhorns have won four in a row since losing their season opener to Maryland, and Sam Ehlinger has grown as a passer. Texas has a good defense and a solid running game, but it’s the passing game that has held them back in the past. The Sooners have an untested secondary, and the Longhorns could rack up some points on this defense.
LSU Tigers -3
Florida Gators +3
Both LSU and Florida have pulled off some incredible wins this season. LSU was able to come from behind to knock off Auburn on the road, while Florida held on to beat Mississippi State in Starkville last week.
This is likely to be one of the lowest scoring games of the week. LSU and Florida both rely on their defense, but the quarterback position is a concern for both teams. The Tigers’ Joe Burrow has yet to throw an interception this season, yet he has had some major accuracy issues. Florida hasn’t had a good quarterback since Tim Tebow, but new coach Dan Mullen is a quarterback whisperer, and he has worked wonders with Feleipe Franks.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish -4.5
Virginia Tech Hokies +4.5
This game is going to make the casual bettor do a double take. Notre Dame is undefeated and ranked No. 6 in the country according to the latest AP poll. The Irish are coming off of a huge win over Stanford, and many are starting to project Notre Dame as one of the four College Football Playoff teams.
As for Virginia Tech, the Hokies fell off everyone’s radar after their loss to Old Dominion. No one really paid attention to their win over a good Duke team on the road last week, and with this NCAAF betting line, there is likely to be a lot of public money on Notre Dame. The Irish did not look particularly great against Michigan, Ball State, or Vanderbilt, so there is reason to be cautious about betting them.
