Colorado Rockies – Pittsburgh Pirates Preview – 05.23.2016

Ryan Vogelsong (1-1, 4.12 ERA) and Jordan Lyles (1-1, 7.64 ERA) take the hill in the last of a three-game series between the Pittsburgh Pirates (23-19) and the Colorado Rockies (21-21) at PNC Park. The Rockies won the last game 5-1, and the series is currently tied 1-1. Action begins at 12:35 p.m. ET on Monday, May. 23 and can be seen on RTPT and RTRM.

Vogelsong pitched 1.2 innings in his most recent start, surrendering three runs, striking out one and walking one in a 12-9 win over the Braves. John Jaso (.312, 18 Rs, 3 HRs, 15 RBIs) continued his strong play Saturday, going 2 for 4. Lyles went 2.2 innings, surrendering seven runs (two unearned) and walking five in a 12-10 defeat to the Dodgers in his last outing. Trevor Story (.285, 27 Rs, 12 HRs, 31 RBIs, 3 SBs) has been successful at the plate, going 2 for 4 Saturday with one run.
