Duke Blue Devils head coach David Cutcliffe was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame over the weekend, and one of football’s greatest quarterbacks was alongside him. Peyton Manning has attributed some of his immense success to learning under Cutcliffe. The two were together at the University of Tennessee, and Cutcliffe getting hired as the head coach of Ole Miss was a major factor in Eli Manning’s decision to go to Oxford.

Lovie Smith has some connections in southern California. Wide receiver Josh Imatorbhebhe became the third Trojan to transfer to the University of Illinois this offseason, and he is immediately eligible as a grad transfer. Imatorbhebhe was a four-star recruit out of high school, but he never really saw the field as injuries took their toll. He is hoping to stay healthy in Champaign.

Bru McCoy has racked up some frequent flyer miles this offseason. McCoy was one of the top recruits in USC’s Class of 2019, but he transferred to Texas after just two weeks following Kliff Kingsbury’s decision to become the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. McCoy spent four months in Austin before reversing course, and now he is back with the Trojans. He should not lose any eligibility as he did not play a down for the Longhorns.
