Only a few days after DeMarcus Cousins’ ex-girlfriend demanded a restraining order for alleged threats to kill her, the police issued an arrest warrant on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in Mobile, Alabama.
Cousins’ ex-girlfriend and mother of their seven-year-old son filed a complaint with the police against the Los Angeles Lakers center, alleging that he had threatened to “put a bullet in her head” for not allowing his child to attend his wedding to another woman. TMZ Sports published the recording of the phone call between Christy West and Cousins, in which we can clearly hear a male voice saying the threat mentioned above.

Police spokeswoman Charlette Solis confirmed that an arrest warrant had been issued days after the police stated that they were investigating the charges. The Mobile municipal court website described the charges as third-degree harassing communication.
West later confirmed that a warrant had been signed to make the case official, and she also asked for a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend for the threats made. The Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA also confirmed a couple of days ago that they were investigating the alleged charges but didn’t want to comment any further.
