The 2015 MLS regular season will come to an end this weekend with all 20 teams in action. While that gives us one more opportunity to cash in with DraftKings MLS Daily Fantasy Leagues, it also means putting in the work to build the best possible lineup with so many different options to choose from.
Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Sunday’s MLS DraftKings Daily Fantasy Leagues.
GK: Adam Kwarasey, Portland
Salary: $5,800
Portland has won three of its last four games to climb to fourth in the Western Conference standings but they can still climb as high as second as they trail the LA Galaxy by only a single point heading into the final weekend of the regular season. Kwarasey has been excellent for the Timbers and he has the best potential for a clean sheet win among MLS goalkeepers with Portland needing three points against a Colorado team that will finish in the Western Conference basement.
D: Jack Jewsbury, Portland
Salary: $4,400
Sticking with the theme of a potentially dominant win for the Timbers over the Rapids, it only makes sense to go back to Portland for a very reasonably priced bargain defender in Jewsbury. He might not have a point in his last three games for Portland but he should start again this week and produce a decent fantasy stat line at a very good price.
D: Chad Marshall, Seattle
Salary: $3,700
Seattle is another team with a favorable matchup worth trying to exploit as they head into the final weekend of the season with a chance to finish as high as third place in the Western Conference. Like the Timbers, they also will face a team that is destined to miss the playoffs in Real Salt Lake. Marshall is expected to start for the Sounders again this weekend just make sure to keep an eye out on his status with him and his teammate Dylan Remick both as quality sleeper plays at under $4K.
M: Benny Feilhaber, Sporting KC
Salary: $9,200
Sporting KC will be in a must-win situation when they host the LA Galaxy with a playoff spot on the line, so it only makes sense to invest a little more money on their top playmaker in the middle of the field. Feilhaber has the potential to be the best midfielder on the board for Sunday so we don’t mind spending a little more money here.
M: Darlington Nagbe, Portland
Salary: $6,600
Speaking of potential sleeper plays, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Nagbe is available at under $7K in a favorable must-win matchup for Portland against Colorado this weekend. Nagbe scored his third goal of the season in last week’s win over the LA Galaxy and he has the potential to deliver again this week at $4K cheaper than his teammate Diego Valeri.
F: Dominic Oduro, Montreal
Salary: $7,500
Montreal will enter this weekend sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference but they have the potential to climb as high as third with a win over Toronto FC along with a little help. Oduro has been a bright spot for the Impact all season with eight goals and he will be looking to help the Impact gain some momentum heading in to the postseason.
F: Will Bruin, Houston
Salary: $7,100
Houston might not be playing for anything other than pride on Sunday but Bruin has had a strong campaign with 11 goals in 32 games. He is available at the right price for us to take a chance on him here. Bruin has gone without a point in his last two games despite five shots on target, so we will bet that this is the game he breaks through with at least one goal as the Dynamo look to go out in style.

FLEX: Robbie Findley, Toronto FC
Salary: $5,300
Toronto FC is another team that could climb in the standings with a win and there is a good chance we se some offense in their game against Montreal. We don’t have enough money left over to buy a player like Michael Bradley but Findley has been a consistent starter of late and he is the best available player we can afford with the money we have left over for our FLEX position.
