East Carolina Pirates – Tulane Green Wave Preview – 02.24.2016

The East Carolina Pirates (10-17) will try to put an end to their six-game skid when they meet the Tulane Green Wave (10-17) at Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse. Action begins at 8:00 pm ET on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and can be seen on ESW and ES3.

The Green Wave are hoping to rebound after their 82-69 loss to Houston in their last matchup. Despite the loss, Dylan Osetkowski earned his 10th double-double this season with 19 points and 12 rebounds. The Pirates, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their 74-63 loss against SMU in their last game. Prince Williams had a team-high 20 points.

The Green Wave may have trouble getting to the line in this one. They’re 292nd in the nation in FTA rate (32.5), while East Carolina is among the nation’s least foul-prone squads (yielding a FTA rate of just 27.5, 23rd in the country).

This is the second game of the year between these two teams, with the Green Wave winning the first matchup 100-92. Dabney had a standout performance in the victory, putting up 32 points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal, and three three-pointers.
