Now that all 32 Nations have earned their bids to Russia in 2018, it is time to review the participants.
Keep your eyes open on December 1, 2017, as the eight groups of four teams will be announced.
14 = UEFA representatives have earned their way to Russia, although the host Nation didn’t have to do much.
5 = CONMEBOL representatives will come out of the South American Federation, after turning their 4.5 bids into 5. Peru defeated New Zealand in the final playoff round to earn the final spot out of CONMEBOL.
5 = AFC Nations will represent Asia, who also turned their 4.5 bids into 5. Australia defeated Honduras 3 – 1 in their final playoff round to gain entry to Russia in 2018.
5 = CAF outfits will represent the African Federation, all five entrants being group stage winners.
3 = CONCACAF representatives come out of North America, Central America and the Caribbean Association.
