After a one-week layoff, the Premier League returns in full force with a full slate of games this weekend including a loaded seven-game schedule for Saturday. While there are certainly plenty of options to choose from when it comes to filling out our lineup in DraftKings Daily Fantasy Leagues, we made sure to capitalize on the most favorable matchup on the board by loading up on Manchester City players for a home date with a Bournemouth side that will be without its top striker.
Here is a look at our optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings Premier League Daily Fantasy Leagues.
GK: Joe Hart, Manchester City
Salary: $5,700
Hart is the most expensive goalkeeper on the board for a reason and his production – combined with the favorable matchup at home against Bournemouth – makes him worth the price of admission in this spot. City should be able to get the win at home and Hart is the best bet to register a clean sheet victory this weekend.
D: Vincent Kompany, Manchester City
Salary: $4,700
Sticking with the theme of City beating up on a Bournemouth side that won’t be at full strength, it only makes sense to slot in Kompany at a very reasonable price. Aleksander Kolarov might be the best City defender on the board but he is listed at the midfield position and at nearly $2K more on DraftKings. That’s why it only makes sense to go with Kompany in his return to action for his club team.
D: Billy Jones, Sunderland
Salary: $3,000
It isn’t often that we will roll with a Sunderland defender but considering the price tag, his role, and a favorable matchup for Sunderland against a West Brom side that is tied for the fewest goals in the Premier League this season, Jones is definitely worth taking a flier on as a sleeper pick for this Saturday’s action.
M: Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City
Salary: $8,000
De Bruyne has shown flashes of brilliance since his arrival in the City midfield and considering he is still available at only $8K, it is impossible to ignore him for this weekend’s DraftKings action. De Bruyne’s price tag makes him an incredible value and the type of player that every lineup for Saturday should be built around.
M: Willian, Chelsea
Salary: $6,100
City isn’t the only team offering an excellent value fantasy play in the midfield as Willian will play that role for Chelsea this weekend when they clash with Aston Villa. Willian has stolen the spotlight for the Blues already with a couple of remarkable free kick goals and we expect him to deliver again this weekend at an amazing price.

F: Wilfried Bony, Manchester City
Salary: $6,500
Injuries have certainly taken their toll on City early on but that has opened up room for Bony to take on a bigger role up front. There is a good chance he delivers against Bournemouth this weekend. As an added bonus, the money saved here allows us to spend a little more on our remaining slots.
F: Jamie Vardy, Leicester
Salary: $9,500
Nobody is doubting Leicester City’s legitimacy anymore and Vardy is a big reason for it as he has been outstanding up front. So far this season, he has seven of the club’s 17 goals. Vardy will have plenty of opportunities to find the back of the net again this weekend against Southampton so he is worth the price tag in this spot.
FLEX: Jermain Defoe, Sunderland
Salary: $6,200
Sunderland has certainly struggled early on this season but we already mentioned their favorable matchup with West Brom. When you combine that with Defoe’s price tag, he looks like a quality option here. Defoe has been held to just two goals through six games so far but he has the potential to break out in this spot. He is the best value available to us with the remaining cap space we have left over.
