Brighton vs. Liverpool
Three-Way: 1: Brighton +660; X: +365 Draw; 2: Liverpool -172 at BetDSI Sportsbook

BRIGHTON
The Seagulls are without the Premier League win in the previous three matches, but they suffered only one defeat in the last seven, a narrow 0:1 loss To Man United at Old Trafford. Brighton drew the latest tilt with Crystal Palace as the game ended scoreless at Amex Stadium, and that point left them in the 10th position with 17 points, nine fewer than Liverpool. Chris Hughton’s team is certainly not easy to beat, and although the Reds are clear favorites to win three points on Saturday, the Seagulls will not give up without a fight.
Brighton played 16 games so far in the 2017/18, recording five victories, five draws, and six losses, with a goal difference of 14:15, which is 1.81 goals per contest on average. The Seagulls lost only one home match, and it was against Man City at the start of the season, but they drew the last four at Amex Stadium, and it hard to expect them to get three points here. I believe Hughton’s team would be satisfied with a point, but they will face a huge test when the high-flying Liverpool comes to the town, and the fact that Brighton didn’t score in the last two Premier League displays is surely concerning for the home fans.
The veteran striker Glenn Murray is the team’s top scorer with four goals in 12 appearances, while Pascal Gross with three, and Jose Izquierdo and TomerHemed are contributed with a pair of goals each. The German midfielder Gross is the most creative individual at Brighton with five assists to his name, and Jurgen Klopp is surely aware of his qualities, so Liverpool gaffer will probably give special instructions to his players to close Gross down. Chris Hughton is delighted to have an almost entire squad at his disposal as only the veteran midfielder Steve Sidwell is out with a back injury and will not feature here.
LIVERPOOL
The Reds extended their positive run of seven matches without a defeat, and following a 1:1 draw with Chelsea last weekend, they beat Stoke 3:0 at bet365 Stadium. Sadio Mane received Dominic Solanke’s flick in the 17th minute to give an early lead to Liverpool, and that result was active for the next 60 minutes when the second-half substitute Mohamed Salah scored a brace in six minutes to secure convincing three points to the visitors. Jurgen Klopp’s side is currently in the 5th position in the Premier League with 26 points, 14 behind Man City, and a potential win here could send them into the top four.
Liverpool played 22 games in this campaign, recording 11 victories, eight draws, and three losses, with a goal difference of 46:29, which is 3.40 goals per contest on average. The Reds won the previous two away matches in the Premier League, scoring seven and conceding just one goal in return, and I would be surprised if they fail to score at least two or three at Amex Stadium. Last time they played at Brighton was in the Carabao Cup back in 2011, and Liverpool won that encounter, 2:1.
The sensational Mohamed Salah is the team’s leading scorer with 17 goals in 21 appearances, and the Egyptian has been in a phenomenal form this season. The former Roma winger is at the top of the Premier League goal-scoring chart with 12 goals, two more than Harry Kane and three ahead of Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling. He came off the bench at Stoke, but I expect Salah to start on Saturday and lead his attack. Roberto Firmino has nine goals to his name, while Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho scored five goals apiece. Firmino and Mane are the best assist-makers at Anfield with five dishes each, while James Milner, Coutinho, and Salah recorded four assists to their respective names. Jurgen Klopp is still without the right-back Nathaniel Clyne who is out with the back injury and will not return until February.
Brighton vs. Liverpool – Match Prediction
Liverpool is playing very well at the moment, and although the hosts are tough opponents, I think the Reds will win comfortably.
MY PICK: Liverpool AH +1 (-118)
Everton vs. Huddersfield Town
Three-Way: 1: Everton -127; X: +290 Draw; 2: Huddersfield +500 at BetDSI Sportsbook
Spread -0.5: Everton -133; Huddersfield +131
Total +2.5: Over +112; Under -116
EVERTON
The Toffees responded excellently after disappointing defeats to Atalanta and Southampton with a 4:0 thrashing of West Ham at Goodison Park in the mid-week, just hours following news that they are appointing Sam Allardyce as the new manager. David Unsworth was at the charge for the last time, and he delivered a massive win that sent Everton to the 13th position in the Premier League with 15 points, the same amount as Huddersfield. Wayne Rooney scored a hat-trick, including the goal from his own half, while Ashley Williams also finds the back of the net in a convincing win. The match with the Terriers will be Allardyce’s debut, and the fans are expecting to see results from the former England gaffer.
Everton played 25 games in this season, recording eight victories, five draws, and 12 losses, with a goal difference of 30:46, which is a bit over three goals per contest on average. The Toffees scored in the previous five matches at home, and the clean sheet against West Ham was the first one in last eight games at Goodison Park. When it comes to H2H encounters in Liverpool, Everton is without a home defeat to the Terriers since 1937.
Wayne Rooney is the team’s top scorer with eight goals in 20 appearances, while OumarNiasse with six, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin with five are following him on a goal-scoring chart. Gylfi Sigurdsson and Calvert-Lewin added four assists apiece, and they are the most creative individuals at Goodison Park at the moment. Niasse is available again after he served a two-game suspension, while Sam Allardyce cannot count on Ramiro Funes Mori (knee), Seamus Coleman (broken leg), YannickBolasie (ruptured knee ligament), and Ross Barkley (hamstring), while Leighton Baines and Michael Keane are questionable with respective calf and head injuries.
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
The Terriers are in a poor form of three consecutive defeats in the Premier League, and the most recent one against Arsenal is particularly painful as the Gunners beat them 5:0. Huddersfield disappointed at Emirates and once again proved unable to score away from home, so they will desperately looking to score at least one at Goodison Park on Saturday. The heavy loss put David Wagner’s side to the 14th position with 15 points, and if they continue playing like this, it is only a matter of time when the Terriers will find themselves in the relegation zone.
Huddersfield Town played 16 games in the 2017/18 so far, recording five victories, three draws, and eight losses, with a goal difference of 11:26, which is 2.31 goals per contest on average. The Terriers didn’t score an away goal in the previous seven matches, and that is unacceptable if they want to stay in the top flight next season, sop the leaky Everton defense could be Huddersfield’s opportunity to find the net at Goodison Park.
Aaron Mooy, Steve Mounie, and Laurent Depoitre are the team’s leading scorers with a couple of goals apiece, but the inefficiency is a huge problem for Wagner, whose team is the third worst in the Premier League in scoring. The German manager will be without Philip Billing (ankle), Michael Hefele (Achilles tendon), and Jon Gorenc-Stankovic (knee) who are all sidelined with injuries, while Rajiv van La Parra is suspended for this tilt.
Everton vs. Huddersfield Town – Match Prediction
I believe Everton can build on a great win over the Hammers, and considering Huddersfield’s away form of late, the visitors have slim chances to come way undefeated, so I am backing the hosts here.
MY PICK: Everton to win (-127)
