EPL Fantasy: Building The Optimal Lineup For Saturday’s Action

The Premier League will return with a full slate of games on Tuesday February 2nd and that will mean plenty of opportunity to make some cash in DraftKings EPL fantasy including in the EPL $12K Striker that will have a guaranteed $12,000 up for grabs. Building the perfect fantasy lineup for that Tuesday will require finding the perfect balance between superstar talent and value plays so we have taken the time to assemble what we feel is the perfect mix between the two. Here is a look at our optimal lineup for Tuesday’s DraftKings EPL Fantasy Leagues.

GK: Adrian, West Ham United

Salary: $4,200

Our approach to the goalkeeper situation is very simple and while we don’t save much money plugging in Adrian at $4.2K we do like the matchup for West Ham United enough to feel very comfortable plugging him in as our top option on the board. West Ham United has followed up three straight wins with a loss and a draw but they will host an Aston Villa side that sits at the bottom of the Premier League table with just 13 points this season and that should be the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

D: Craig Dawson, West Brom

Salary: $3,800

The defender position is where we feel we can find the best value plays and Dawson is the most expensive of a strong group that is available at under $4K. West Brom has gone winless in its last three games but they should fare well against a Swansea side that is tied with them for the second-fewest goals scored in the Premier League this season.

D: Charlie Daniels, Bournemouth

Salary: $3,700

Bournemouth followed up an impressive 3-0 win over Norwich with a 1-1 draw to Sunderland and now they get a prime opportunity to climb further up the standings against one of the team’s they are chasing in Crystal Palace. CP has dropped four in a row heading in to this matchup and Daniels has been fairly consistent for Bournemouth so we feel very comfortable plugging him in here.

D: Adam Smith, Bournemouth

Salary: $3,500

Smith might not be as strong of a play as Daniels but we do like the matchup for Bournemouth and the price tags for both players make them worth using this week.

M: Christian Eriksen, Tottenham

Salary: $7,300

The money saved by finding smart value plays at the defender positions allows us to open up a little bit on the midfielder and forward spots with Eriksen our top pick from the midfield position for this week. Eriksen has the potential to put up an excellent fantasy stat line versus Norwich without breaking the bank and that is the perfect combination for us.

M: Marc Albrighton, Leicester

Salary: $6,400

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have taken turns carrying Leicester at times this year but if they are going to have a legitimate shot at challenging for a Premier League table they need their depth players to perform at a high level. That means production from Albrighton in the midfield and his very reasonable price makes him worth targeting for a key clash with Liverpool.

M: Craig Gardner, West Brom

Salary: $3,600

After spending a decent amount on Eriksen and Albrighton it only made sense to see if we can find a sleeper value play in the midfield and Gardner certainly appears to fit that bill. Gardner has the potential to produce plenty of crosses every week and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he registered at least an assist against Swansea on Tuesday.

F: Harry Kane, Tottenham

Salary: $8,000

After banking on Eriksen as our top midfielder it should be no surprise that we turn to Kane as our top striker option as he is available at a reasonable price as well considering his potential to produce a big fantasy stat line. Kane can really turn it on when he gets hot and he should produce against a Norwich side that is barely hanging on above the relegation line right now.

F: Salomen Rondon, Swansea

Salary: $3,900

Rondon has struggled to find the back of the net this season but he did score 13 goals for Zenit last season and he should get another opportunity to find the back of the net for Swansea against West Brom on Tuesday. It might be a risk but the potential is certainly there and at under $4K he is worth taking a chance on here for EPL fantasy.

FLEX: Jonny Evans, West Brom

Salary: $2,800

There is no way we would be able to have so many star players in our lineup without strong sleeper options for the FLEX position and Evans certainly fits that bill. There aren’t many weeks where we would have three players from West Brom in our lineup but the matchup is strong enough and the price point is good enough that we don’t mind using Evans as a sneaky sleeper play.

FLEX: Gael Clichy, Manchester City

Salary: $2,800

An injury to Aleksander Kolarov has opened the door for Clichy to start at left back for Manchester City and there is every reason to expect him to excel with a favorable matchup versus Sunderland. Clichy isn’t afraid to join the attack and push balls in to the box on crosses so he could prove to be one of the best value options on the board in daily EPL fantasy.
