EPL Fantasy: Daily Fantasy Lineup For Week 36

Leicester City can complete its improbable Premier League title run with a win over Manchester United on Sunday but before that there are six games on the schedule for Saturday and that means plenty of options to choose from in DraftKings tournaments. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings EPL Fantasy Leagues

GK: Heurelho Gomes, Watford

Salary: $4,000

Watford is coming off a tough 3-1 loss to West Ham but they return home following a rough stretch with an excellent opportunity to bounce back at home in a favorable matchup with Aston Villa. Gomes has done his best to keep Watford in most games of late and a favorable matchup should provide the break he needs for a strong EPL fantasy performance in goal.

D: Allen Nyom, Watford

Salary: $3,100

Nyom has been solid in his own end for Watford and there isn’t any reason to expect that to change with a favorable matchup for Saturday’s game with Aston Villa. He doesn’t have much offensive upside but he should be a decent value pick at $3.1K.

D: Craig Cathcart, Watford

Salary: $2,200

Speaking of a strong value pick, Cathcart certainly fits the bill at just $2.2K. Cathcart will not contribute at the offensive end of the pitch but at such a low price he is worth plugging in to this spot in order to save more money for the other positions.

D: Callum Connolly, Everton

Salary: $2,000

Connolly is a deep sleeper option on Everton’s back line that will allow us to spend a little more money at the attacking positions. He doesn’t offer any offensive upside but a favorable matchup at home versus Bournemouth and the fact that he is so inexpensive make him worth taking a chance on.

M: Mesut Ozil, Arsenal

Salary: $7,100

Arsenal won’t contend for the league title but they will fight for a Champions League position as the standings are far from set just yet. A home date with Norwich should be the perfect opportunity to add three points to their season and could result in a strong offensive performance for Ozil. The veteran midfielder has six goals and a team-leading 18 assists this season so look for him to continue to produce as the best midfield option on the board for Saturday’s Premier League contests.

M: Ross Barkley, Everton

Salary: $6,200

Barkley has been a consistent force in the midfield for Everton all season and there is no reason to think that won’t continue this week. Barkley has eight goals and 15 points in 33 games and he is the perfect fit in our midfield with Everton set to host Bournemouth on Saturday.

M: Alex Iwobi, Arsenal

Salary: $4,600

Iwobi is an intriguing play for Arsenal as a player that helps generate offensive opportunities through the middle of the field and should have plenty of chances to get on the scoresheet on Saturday. The fact that he is available at just $4.6K makes him that much more appealing in EPL fantasy.

F: Romelu Lukaku, Everton

Salary: $6,800

Lukaku has scored 18 goals in 33 Premier League games so far this season so he is definitely worth the price tag in EPL fantasy. Everton should have its way with Bournemouth at home and it won’t be a surprise when Lukaku delivers another strong performance.

F: Odion Ighalo, Watford

Salary: $5,600

Ighalo has led the way for Watford with 14 goals this season and his 17 points make him a strong option at the forward position regardless of who he plays for. The fact that Watford has a favorable matchup versus Aston Villa makes him that much more appealing as a quality option up front.

FLEX: Olivier Giroud, Arsenal

Salary: $5,700

Giroud is tied with Sanchez for the team lead with 12 goals as well as four assists yet he is available at a much lower price than his Arsenal teammate. At $5.7K, Giroud is the perfect option to plug in to this FLEX spot as a lethal attacker with extremely high offensive upside this week.

FLEX: Philipp Wollscheid, Stoke City

Salary: $2,500

With just $2.7K left over to spend on our final FLEX position it only makes sense to turn to another favorable defensive matchup with Stoke City set to host Sunderland on Saturday. Sunderland has been held without a goal in three of its previous four games so Wollscheid should be a strong value option for Saturday’s competitions.
