Fairfield Stags – Canisius Golden Griffins Preview – 02.18.2016

It will be a contest between two of the nation’s top scoring defenses when the Canisius Golden Griffins (11-16) meet the Fairfield Stags (15-11). The game starts at 8:00 pm ET on Thursday, Feb. 18 and will air on ES3.

The Golden Griffins are hoping to rebound after their 61-57 loss to Saint Peter’s on Sunday. Kevin Bleeker recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds, earning his second double-double of the year. The Stags, meanwhile, are coming off a 76-73 win over Marist on Monday. Jerry Johnson Jr led the game in scoring by accounting for 25 points on 8-for-11 shooting.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams, with the Stags winning the first matchup 84-77. In the victory, Curtis Cobb led all scorers on the team with 25 points.
