Atlantic 10 foes will lock horns when the La Salle Explorers (6-19) face the Fordham Rams (13-12) at Tom Gola Arena. Action begins at 7:00 pm ET on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
The Explorers are hoping to rebound after their 90-50 loss to George Washington on Sunday. Jordan Price was the team’s leading scorer with 17 points. The Rams, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their 76-68 loss against Saint Louis on Saturday. Fordham lost despite the best efforts of Ryan Rhoomes, who recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
This has potential to be a mistake-prone game for the offense of La Salle, which ranks 277th in the nation in ball protection (TO% of 20.0%). The disruptive defense of Fordham forces the eighth-most turnovers in the nation (23.2%).
This is the second game of the season between these two teams, with the Rams winning the first matchup 66-61. Rhoomes put up a double-double in the victory with 25 points and 18 rebounds.
