When the Seattle Seahawks put defensive end Frank Clark on the trading block asking for a first round pick, there wasn’t a lot of buzz any team would take them up on their offer. But two days before the NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs stepped up to the plate, sending their first round pick (No. 29) and their third round pick to Seattle in exchange for Clark and the Seahawks’ third round selection.

Clark immediately signed a new contract with Kansas City, a five-year, $105.5 million deal with $63.5 million in guaranteed money.

Le’Veon Bell and Darron Lee skip Jets workouts

In spite of signing a new, free agent contract this offseason with the New York Jets, Le’Veon Bell apparently isn’t too eager to join his team for its voluntary workouts. Linebacker Darron Lee is also bailing on the workout, but there could be good reason for that. He’s apparently on the trading block.

Von Miller won’t be prosecuted for catching shark

Von Miller will escape any prosecution for catching a hammerhead shark off the coast of Florida last year. Harvesting a hammerhead shark is a second-degree misdemeanor and comes with a possible $500 fine and 60 days in jail. Miller was not aware of the law, but the owner of the boat he used to fish certainly was and he was charged with fishing for sharks without a permit.

Robbie Gould asks 49ers to trade him

Frustrated over contract negotiations, San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould has pulled all his offers and requested a trade. Gould has the highest field goal percentage in the NFL over the last three seasons.
