If you’ve listened to a lot of the stories involving the Cleveland Browns this offseason, you would think that they are coming off of a playoff season. Of course, the Browns haven’t made the postseason since 2002, and that’s why Freddie Kitchens seems a little dismayed by Odell Beckham Jr.’s absence from OTAs. OBJ only attended one of the Browns’ nine OTAs, but he did indicate that he will be attending the team’s mandatory minicamp this week. That would give him valuable reps with Baker Mayfield and Jarvis Landry in Kitchens’ offense.
Freddie Kitchens on what he wants to see from Odell Beckham Jr. next week: 'I just want to see him.'

Nick Foles and his wife dealt with heartbreak earlier in the week, but Foles made the decision to return to the Jacksonville Jaguars sooner than expected. Foles’ wife suffered a miscarriage on Wednesday, and the Jaguars told him to take as much time as he needed to deal with everything. However, his wife encouraged Jacksonville’s new signal caller to return to the team and he will take part in minicamp.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL last season, but new head coach Bruce Arians has said that issue is now resolved. Even though he tore into Vernon Hargreaves III just a few weeks ago, Arians believes that VH3 and Carlton Davis are solid cornerbacks, and he said the Buccaneers now have five good cornerbacks. If there is a real difference maker though, it’s likely to be new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles who is considered one of the sharpest defensive minds in the game.

Calvin Johnson made the decision to retire from pro football at the end of the 2015 season. Johnson’s decision surprised a lot of people since he was just 30 at the time, but he had grown tired of the Detroit Lions and he has rebuffed advances to attend team-related events. He is particularly upset that the team made him pay back some of his signing bonus money, and he has indicated he won’t return until that money is returned to him.
