Remember following that week 3 victory when New York Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley said he wasn’t that hurt? Now, there’s more reason to take the man at his word.
Furthermore, video has come out by Art Stapleton who covers the Giants as a beat reporter. Certainly it appears that Barkley is moving well for a guy with a high ankle sprain. Check it out below:

Without question, the ‘high ankle sprain’ has become a dreaded NFL injury throughout the years. Once a player has this, it can be expected he miss at least a month and even a half season.
Suddenly, things are on the up and up for the New York Giants. Indeed, Daniel Jones is 2-0 as a rookie starting quarterback. Furthermore, they’re getting back Golden Tate on Sunday at receiver to add a new dimension to the passing game.
Of course, adding Barkley back into the fold will make them one of the more intriguing teams to turn on every Sunday. Thus far in 2019, Barkley has 237 yards rushing on just 37 attempts. You math majors realize this is good for over six yards a carry. All of this follows up a 1,300-yard season as a rookie. Combining his accomplishments with the fact he’s just 22-years old currently, and you’re talking about one of the biggest superstars in the sport not playing the quarterback position.
Obviously we will continue to update this – injuries in the league have become a hot topic for those who play fantasy football religiously. In regards to that, Barkley had many ‘owners’ selecting him one overall in that realm.
Finally, it’s not totally crazy to think that the Giants could make an exciting little go of things in their division. While Dallas is coming off a loss at New Orleans and 3-1 atop the division, the Giants suddenly sit 2-2 while things round into form.
Suddenly, head coach Pat Shurmur has to feel pretty good with his hand at the card table.
