Golden State Warriors vs Washington Wizards Pick and Game Preview

The Washington Wizards (40-29) will have their chance to bring down the league’s top team when they square off against the Golden State Warriors (56-13) at ORACLE Arena. The game starts at 10:30 pm ET on Monday, Mar. 23 and will air on CSN-DC, CSN-BA and NBA TV.

The Warriors were victorious over the Jazz 106-91 on Saturday. Stephen Curry led all scorers with 24 points on 8-for-18 shooting. The Wizards, meanwhile, are coming off a 113-99 loss at the hands of the Clippers on Friday. Bradley Beal posted 18 points, four assists, and two rebounds.

The odds are even for this game and the Over/Under (O/U) is unavailable at the moment. The Warriors look to build on their records of 56-13 Straight Up (SU) and 40-28-1 Against The Spread (ATS). They have a record of 23-5 SU and 13-14-1 ATS versus the Eastern Conference. Golden State is excellent from the perimeter, shooting a league-high .393 from three-point range. Turning to the defensive side, the Warriors are second in the league in steals with 9.5 per game. Something to watch out for is if Golden State can force its opponents into turnovers and convert them into baskets. They’ve done an excellent job of that all year with an average of 19.9 points off turnovers per game to lead the league.

Across the court, Washington has a SU record of 40-29 and an ATS record of 28-40-1. Washington has a record of 15-11 SU and 11-14-1 ATS against the West.

Following the Warriors’ latest win over Washington, their SU record rises to 7-3 over the Wizards in the last 10 meetings. At 5-5, they are even bets ATS. When it comes to field goals, rebounds, and three-pointers, Golden State and Washington each held the edge in all three of these categories twice in the last 10 meetings.
