Golf Undigested – Episode 49

Golf Undigested

The Golf Undigested Podcast with Clark Burroughs, a former PGA Tour player and proud Ohio State Buckeye, dishes out his latest news and musings in the world of golf. For all the latest golf odds and predictions, never miss an episode of Burroughs’ insightful advice and hilarious observations into the greatest game of all, GOLF!

Burroughs starts Podcast #49 by taking us through last week’s exciting Masters Tournament that once again did not disappoint. Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose put on a ball striking seminar as both dueled each other shot for shot down the final stretch to end up tied at 9-under par. Garcia, who had only two top 10’s in 18 Masters appearances, finally got the monkey off his back and birdied the first playoff hole to claim the title. The 37-year old Spaniard was known for being the best player in the world without a major, but not anymore. Garcia has a new Green Jacket to put in his closet.

Burroughs makes his picks for the week as well as helping you set your fantasy team. Our host record stands at 43-25-6 for the year. Burroughs dishes on this week’s action on all the tours across the world.

The PGA Tour heads to South Carolina for the 2017 RBC Heritage. Since 1969, the best players in the world have been coming to Harbour Town Golf Links to test their skills on one of the best tracks in the world. Eight of the top 30 are in the betting field.

The Champions Tour is back in action in Duluth, Georgia for the Mitsubishi Electric Championship, while the European Tour travels to Morocco for the Trophee Hassan II. The LPGA is off to Hawaii for the LOTTE Championship.

Burroughs’ Predictions for RBC Heritage – Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head, South Carolina

FAV: Olympic bronze medalist, Matt Kuchar +1200 continues to play inspiring golf but hasn’t been in the win column in a few years. That all changes this week as the former Georgia Tech star carries last week’s top five momentum over to this week and claims his second RBC Heritage title.

VALUE PICKS:

Stewart Cink +8500 – The veteran is back playing solid golf, making all the cuts and consistently placing in the top 30 week after week. He’s won the RBC Heritage twice and would make a great story if he were to win this week. At +8500, Cink is worth a play.

Wesley Bryan +7700 – He is known more for his youtube trick shots with his brother but this kid can really play. His creativity around the greens will come in handy at Harbour Town where the greens are the smallest on Tour and players are going to struggle hitting them consistently. Bryan is worth a look in all formats.

HORSE for COURSE: Luke Donald +3000 – In his last eight starts at the RBC Heritage, the former No. 1 player in the world has six top three finishes. In that stretch, he’s 63-under par. If you’re looking for a horse for the course, Donald is your man.

TV Coverage: Thursday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. ET – Golf Channel. Saturday-Sunday, 1-2:30 p.m. Golf Channel, 3-6 p.m. – CBS.
