Golf Undigested

The Golf Undigested Podcast with Clark Burroughs, a former PGA Tour player and proud Ohio State Buckeye, dishes out his latest news and musings in the world of golf. For all the latest golf odds and predictions, never miss an episode of Burroughs’ insightful advice and hilarious observations into the greatest game of all, GOLF!

Burroughs starts Podcast #55 by taking us through last week’s action from Dallas at the AT&T Byron Nelson where Billy Horschel picked up his fourth PGA Tour win by defeating Jason Day in a sudden death playoff.

Lexi Thompson wins for the eighth time on the LPGA Tour at the Kingsmill Championship and Bernhard Langer ties Jack Nicklaus for the most majors on the Champions Tour by winning the Regions Tradition.

Burroughs makes his picks for the week as well as helping you set your fantasy team. Our host record stands at 60-41-7 for the year. Burroughs dishes on this week’s action on all the tours across the world.

This week the PGA Tour stays in the Lone Star State for the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational. Defending champion, Jordan Spieth is joined by Masters champion Sergio Garcia, fan favorite Phil Mickelson, Paul Casey and Emiliano Grillo in a betting field that includes eight of the top 30 in the world rankings.

The European Tour hosts their flagship event at the BMW PGA Championship where the strongest field of the year pegs it up.

The PGA Champions Tour heads to Washington, D.C. for the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship and the LPGA Tour travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan for the LPGA Volvik Championship.

Burroughs Predictions for the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational

PICKS to WIN

JASON DUFNER +1800 is the horse for the course this week in Texas. He hasn’t won here, but in nine appearances, he’s got three top 10’s, which include a P2 and a T6. Duff is in a groove making 11 straight cuts, with eight top 25’s. He finished T13 last week at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

Jon Rahm +1100 seemingly plays well every time he tees it up, well almost every time – he did shoot 84 in his last round at THE PLAYERS Championship, but it does happen to everyone and it finally did to the young Spaniard. The former ASU Sun Devil gets back on track on a ball-striker’s course and picks up his second career win. Yah, a win!

GOLF MATCHUP to BET

Kevin Tway -115 vs. Si Woo Kim -115

Kim will be getting all the attention playing for the first time since his epic win at THE PLAYERS Championship. He will be answering questions about his win, about his back issue that forced him to withdraw from last week’s AT&T Byron Nelson and will be in a place he’s not accustomed to being in, especially at 21-years old. Who has played better than Tway over the past month or so? Not many! The former Oklahoma State Cowboy and son on major winner Bob Tway, has finally started playing the type of golf we thought he might after he turned pro. In his last five starts, he’s really come into his own – T32 – T3 – 3 – T5 – T20. That’s pretty solid golf. TWAY all DAY!

Burroughs wraps up No. 55 by talking about high school golf and the Iowa State High School Championship where the Lake Panorama Panthers look to defend their title in the 2A division.

TV Coverage for DEAN and DELUCA Invitational: Thursday-Friday, 4-7 p.m. ET – Golf Channel. Saturday-Sunday, 1-2:30 p.m. Golf Channel, 3-6 p.m. – CBS.
