Burroughs starts Podcast #56 by talking about the Lake Panorama Panthers and how they fared at the IHSAA Golf Championships. He talks about Tiger Woods and his recent arrest and how it will affect not only Woods, but the whole PGA Tour.

Our host takes us through last week’s action at the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational where Kevin Kisner picked up his second PGA Tour win by holding off Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm with a clutch par save at the final hole to win by one.

On the European Tour, Alex Noren fired a stunning final round 62 to come from seven shots back to pick up his fifth win in his last 22 starts.

Bernhard Langer made history by winning the KitchenAid Sr. PGA Championship at Trump National Golf Club. With the win, the German passes Jack Nicklaus for the most Senior majors won with nine total.

Burroughs makes his picks for the week as well as helping you set your fantasy team. Our host record stands at 63-41-7 for the year. Burroughs dishes on this week’s action on all the tours across the world.

This week the PGA Tour heads north to Buckeye country for the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide. William McGirt defends but will be challenges by a world class field that includes Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Rickie Fowler and Phil Mickelson.

The European Tour heads to Sweden for the Nordea Masters where Matthew Fitzpatrick is the defending champion.

The PGA Champions Tour is OFF this week and the LPGA Tour heads to Galloway, New Jersey for the 54-hole Shoprite LPGA Classic.

Burroughs Predictions for the Memorial Tournament

PICKS to WIN

Does Jon Rahm +1150 ever play bad? He hasn’t missed a cut this year, he’s in contention week after week and is a great ball striker who happens to hole a lot of putts. That sounds to me like a winning combination. Rahm continues to impress with another sterling performance this week at the Memorial Tournament.

For weeks I’ve been calling for rookie Ollie Schniederjans +11000 to pick up his first win. He’s played solid at times and been in the mix a few times, but still is searching for his first win on the PGA Tour. At that price, he’s worth a look in all formats. The win is coming and it could come this week.

STAY AWAY

Si Woo Kim +12500 impressed all with his epic win at The PLAYERS Championship a few weeks ago, but he came back down to earth and missed the cut in Ft. Worth last week. He will again struggle this week and miss his second consecutive cut.

GOLF MATCHUP OF THE WEEK

Jon Rahm -115 vs. Jordan Spieth -115

This is one of what I call the power matchups of the week. Arguably two of the best young players in the game. Both finished second last week in Texas, so this is like a carry over to see who wins. Rahm seems to play well week after week, no matter where he plays, while Spieth is more of a mixed bag as of late, missing two cuts in a row before his great play last week. I’m riding Rahm to the bank.

TV Coverage for the Memorial Tournament: Thursday-Friday, 4-7 p.m. ET – Golf Channel. Saturday-Sunday, 1-2:30 p.m. Golf Channel, 3-6 p.m. – CBS.
