A wild night in ACC produced one home comeback and a Grayson Allen buzzer-beater that once again shook up the conference standings.
As Louisville saw their seven-point halftime lead disappear at Notre Dame, they also saw their standing in the conference race take a serious hit. At 8-3 in conference play coming into the day, the Cardinals had a chance to even up with North Carolina by the end of the weekend, should the Tar Heels lose on Sunday. Now, they sit two games back in the loss column with trips to Miami and Virginia remaining, as well as a home date with the Blue Devils.
For Duke, they watched freshman Brandon Ingram fully arrive on the national scene, pouring in 25 points and seven rebounds before sophomore Grayson Allen “beat” the buzzer with a wild mid-lane heave, giving Duke the 63-62 win at Cameron Indoor.

Virginia’s Malcolm Brogdon had given the Cavs the lead on the previous possession with a wrap around lay-up, but Allen’s controversial winner gave the edge to the home team and helped curb recent talk of Duke’s decline this season after winning the national title a year ago.
At the end of the day, all four teams are still NCAA Tournament threats no matter their seed line, as there’s enough star power on each roster to overpower opponents in a win-or-go-home scenario. Not to mention, all four coaches have plenty of experience this time of year to draw upon. Still, we’ll be talking about the Grayson Allen buzzer-beater quite a bit more this season if the Blue Devils can build upon their newfound momentum.
