Indiana Hoosiers vs Maryland Terrapins Odds

The Big 10’s second-leading passer, Nate Sudfeld (2,449 yards, 16 TDs), will be on display when the Indiana Hoosiers meet the Maryland Terrapins. Going into this game, Maryland (2-8) and Indiana (4-6) are both desperate for a win to build upon. The game starts at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov 21 and will be available on BTN and BTN2.

In last week’s game, Maryland fell to Michigan State 24-7. Amba Etta-Tawo had a solid performance in the loss, totaling five receptions for 63 yards. Levern Jacobs put up 55 receiving yards on three catches. Indiana came up short as well, losing to Michigan 48-41. Jordan Howard had a great game on the ground for the Hoosiers, totaling 238 yards and two TDs on 35 carries. Simmie Cobbs had 86 receiving yards on four receptions.

As a slender three-point underdog, the Hoosiers look to upend the Terrapins. The Over/Under (O/U) is currently not available.

Even with a subpar Straight Up (SU) record of 2-8, the Terrapins played better than expected, going 6-4 Against The Spread (ATS) so far this year. Maryland has one of the worst win-loss records over the last five games (0-5), yet it still outplays expectations, going an impressive 4-1 ATS. The Maryland pass defense has played at another level the past five games. It has given up 224.8 passing yards per game during that span.

Over on the other sideline, the Hoosiers head into Week 12 with records of 5-5 ATS and 4-6 SU. Over their last five games, the Hoosiers have a SU record of 0-5 and a 1-4 record ATS for those betting with them. Other teams have a high success rate throwing the ball against the Terrapins. It may be in Indiana’s game plan to take advantage of the home team’s inability to stop the pass, 108th in the nation at 13.3 yards per pass. The Hoosiers have a habit of starting the second half with the proper adjustments in place. They average 10.2 points during the third quarter, ranking 16th in Division I. For the Terrapins, special teams is an area in need of improvement. Their 114.1 return yards allowed per game rank amongst the worst in the country.

Predictions: SU Winner – Indiana, ATS Winner – Indiana
