Indiana Hoosiers vs Purdue Boilermakers Game Pick

The Purdue Boilermakers (2-9) play the Indiana Hoosiers (5-6) looking to snap their three-game losing streak. The Big 10’s top passer, Nate Sudfeld (2,834 yards, 20 TDs), is a player to watch in this matchup. Indiana has shown few signs of life this season, and given that it has lost four in a row, that doesn’t seem likely to change any time soon. Players will take the field Saturday, Nov 28 at 12:00 p.m. ET and the game will air on BTN and BTN2.

Purdue was dominated by Iowa 40-20 last week. DeAngelo Yancey had an outstanding performance in the loss, totaling nine receptions for 117 yards. Austin Appleby also had a big day, contributing 259 yards and a TD through the air. Indiana is hoping for another victory like last week’s performance, when it beat Maryland 47-28. Nate Sudfeld had a big game passing the ball for the Hoosiers, completing 23 of 35 passes for 385 yards and four TDs. Simmie Cobbs had a big game as well, totaling 192 receiving yards on nine receptions.

Indiana is a five-point favorite in this game and the Over/Under (O/U) is presently unavailable.

The Boilermakers enter the game with records of 2-9 Straight Up (SU) and 6-5 Against The Spread (ATS) this season. In the past five games, Purdue has a 4-1 record ATS despite going 1-4 SU. The Boilermakers are known for their passing game. Their 40.5 passing attempts per game are the ninth-most in the nation.

Across the field, the Hoosiers have 5-6 SU and 6-5 ATS records this season. In the previous five games, Indiana has a record of 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS. The Boilermakers have not found a lot of success stopping their opponents’ running games. The Hoosiers will look to exploit a run defense that ranks 108th in Division I with 207.1 rushing yards allowed per game. The Hoosiers usually get a boost in the second quarter, when they average 11.4 points this year.
