Indiana State Sycamores – Northern Iowa Panthers Preview – 02.24.2016

Missouri Valley foes will lock horns when the Northern Iowa Panthers (17-12) face off against the Indiana State Sycamores (13-15) at McLeod Center. Action begins at 8:00 pm ET on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and can be seen on ES3.

The Panthers enter this game hoping for similar success after topping Illinois State 75-66 on Saturday. Wes Washpun was the game’s leading scorer with 18 points on 6-for-10 shooting. The Sycamores, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their ugly 84-51 loss against Wichita State on Sunday. Devonte Brown played well for Indiana State, recording 11 points, five rebounds, and one block.

Second-chance opportunities could be few and far between for the Panthers in this one. They rank 349th in the nation in offensive rebounding (OR% of just 18.7%), while Indiana State is 32nd-best in the nation on the defensive glass (DR% of 74.6%).
