Invicta 14 All-Women’s MMA Odds: Tonya Evinger Enters As Favorite Over Kianzad

Invicta FC 14 will air this Saturday night on the UFC Fight Pass network from the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri with a Bantamweight main event featuring Tonya Evinger (16-5) taking on Pannie Kianzad (8-0) in a bout that was slated to be for Evinger’s bantamweight belt. The weigh-ins saw the bout switched to a non-title affair as both girls missed their first attempts at the 135 lb limit.
Right now, the books have the champion Evinger as a favorite at -210, with the comeback on Kianzad at (-160).  Kianzad, the undefeated 23-year-old from Sweden, is a bit of a prospect, though Evinger (16-5) is a very experienced fighter who has top level competition up and down her resume. Desite both women not making weight, both must feel that they are close to an invite to the UFC and their 135 lb weight class.
The co-main event of the evening feaatures undefeated stand-out Deanna Bennett as a (-230) favorite over Finland’s Katja Kankaanpaa, who is coming back at (+170).  Kankaanpaa is coming off a failed bid at the Invicta FC strawweight title, so she faces the surging prospect Bennett as a rebound to the title loss.

The live event totals 10 fights and features fights in the flyweight and featherweight divisions, two weight classes that are not active in the UFC’s “big show” as of now.  One of the most anticipated bouts of the night features 125-pound flyweights Mariana Morais (9-2) who comes in an underdog at (+165) to veteran Roxanne Modafferi, who is returning at -215.
