Ja Morant, the star of the Grizzlies, takes a shot at the Warriors

The 2021–22 Memphis Grizzlies season was outstanding. They had a record of 56–26, which was second only to the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. Tyler Jenkins has dramatically improved things on Beale Street, increasing their victory total from the previous season by 18 games. Their quick turnaround may be attributed in large part to point player Ja Morant’s performance.

The second-overall choice in the 2019 NBA Draft has swiftly risen to fame, playing in his first All-Star game last season, being named to the second team of the All-NBA, and receiving the Most Improved Player of the Year title.

The one genuine criticism about Morant is that he occasionally had trouble staying on the court. There is always the possibility of injury given his playing style and small stature. After missing just five games as a rookie and nine games as a sophomore, he missed 25 games last season. The Larry O’Brien Trophy would have gone to the Memphis Grizzlies rather than the Golden State Warriors, according to a statement released by Morant today.
