The Beijing Shougang Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association announced that they signed a deal with veteran guard Jeremey Lin, and he will represent them next season. They stated that the team is in the process of working with the league to get his registration paperwork approved.
On his Instagram profile, Jeremy Lin said that it was a “privilege to rep Asians at the NBA level” and congratulated his brother Joe on getting an extension with the Fubon Braves of the Super Basketball League in Taiwan.

The 31-year-old guard won his first title with the Toronto Raptors last season as they beat the Golden State Warriors in six games.
Lin struggled to find an NBA team to join in this summer’s offseason, and he felt that his time in the NBA came to an end, saying that he would consider playing next season overseas.
“In English there’s a saying, and it says once you hit rock bottom, the only way is up,” Lin said to an audience on Christian television station GOOD TV. “But rock bottom just seems to keep getting more and more rock bottom for me. So, free agency has been tough. Because I feel like in some ways the NBA’s kind of given up on me.”
People will never understand the bond I have with my fans. This is love right here!! Cant wait to return to my old form and beyond on the court https://t.co/KN74nYd1Bd

The Beijing Shougang Ducks have been a powerhouse in the Chinese league in the last few years, as former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury led them to three league titles. Marbury is now working as head coach for the Ducks’ rival team in Beijing.
